“Dying with Dignity,” the American counterpart to Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) in Canada, has found a way to spend millions of dollars advertising on social media—without being censored. Facebook has allowed the following advertisement:
“If you or someone you know has suffered from Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, or another neurocognitive disease, we see you.
We know that advanced requests for MAiD would save so many Canadians from having to choose between more time with loved ones and a peaceful death.
That’s why we’re running this crucial campaign. Please add your name and send a letter to the government demanding the legislation of advanced requests.
Quebec has already done it. 85% of Canadians support it. It’s time for the federal government to act. Sign on now.”

According to statistics, approximately 85% of Canadians received the COVID-19 vaccine. But are we really to believe that 85% of Canadians also agree that MAiD should be available to anyone who requests it?
I will be speaking with my MP’s office next week to verify how accurate this claim from Dying with Dignity truly is. What many Canadians may not know, however, is what substances are used in MAiD procedures. If they did, would they still believe this is always a peaceful way to die?
What is especially disturbing about this advertisement is the accompanying image: a senior lying on a gurney, wearing a hospital gown, placed in a forest setting, surrounded by family members. A doctor or nurse appears ready to administer MAiD in front of loved ones—including children.
After studying this image, I feel deep sadness for the children who may witness their grandmother being injected with life-ending medication. These are moments that could leave lasting psychological scars. There are reports suggesting that some MAiD procedures can take hours before death occurs. In some accounts, patients have been described as trembling, crying out, or even beginning to vomit before passing. This stands in stark contrast to euthanasia in animals, where death typically occurs within minutes.
What needs to happen in Canada is a thorough investigation into organizations such as Dying with Dignity. The public deserves transparency: Why do some MAiD procedures reportedly take hours? Why are there accounts of patients trembling, crying out, or experiencing distress before death? What exactly is being administered in these cases?
If more Canadians were aware of such reports, there might be a stronger public demand for accountability and review. These are serious questions that deserve careful examination.
No one wants to see their loved ones suffer—there is no dispute about that. But before accepting widespread promotion of assisted dying, we must ensure that the public is fully informed. At the very least, don’t Canadians deserve to understand why such a large percentage is said to support MAiD?
I'm curious to know, Why are 96% of MAiD deaths in Canada happening to people identifying as Caucasian or white instead of other groups or races? How many politicians to date have opted for MAiD? One day I hope to get an answer to these questions. But, I won't hold my breath.
As written in Proverbs 6, the Lord hates “hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, [and] a false witness who speaks lies…”
Our struggle is not merely against flesh and blood. There are deeper spiritual and moral dimensions influencing how people perceive suffering, death, and solutions to pain.
People deserve the dignity of life. If you know someone experiencing mental health distress or crisis, share this message with them:
You are irreplaceable. There has never been—and will never be—another you.
You are unrepeatable, created with purpose, and deeply loved (John 3:16).
You are not a burden—no matter what your mind or others may have told you.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
You don’t have to carry the weight, the fear, or the pain anymore. You don’t have to fight this alone.
Bring everything—your anxiety, your exhaustion, your brokenness—to Yeshua (Jesus).
He will meet you in it. He will carry what you cannot. And He will give you real peace.
Despite what some MAiD YouTube viewer-discretion ads suggest, MAiD is not always presented as a true choice. There are growing concerns that vulnerable people may be influenced or pressured by misleading messages., https://youtu.be/SsrlYYbx3-E?si=Z_8po3cIKnR8zdoP
