Killing White People: It’s White Privilege to Die by MAiD

During official testimony before Parliament’s Special Joint Committee on Medical Assistance in Dying, a prominent witness looked at our lawmakers and stated verbatim:

“People getting MAID are actually very privileged. They’re white. They’re well off. They’re highly educated. They’re not in institutions. They have families. The picture is one of privilege.”

This explicit statement, now permanently etched into the official parliamentary record, exposes a jarring window into the institutional mindset of our nation. It forces profound, unavoidable questions about who is actively accessing MAiD and what this reveals about the ultimate direction of end-of-life policy in Canada. It shatters the common mainstream narrative that MAiD is purely an isolated, compassionate escape valve driven by standard medical necessity, revealing instead a system that views the termination of life as a hallmark of socioeconomic status.

The individual who delivered that testimony under oath is Jocelyn Downie, a professor of law and medicine at Dalhousie University. She made this declaration during Meeting 39 of the Special Joint Committee on Medical Assistance in Dying.

The Mathematical Reality

When we examine the hard numbers provided by Health Canada, the scale of this apparatus becomes undeniable. Between the years 2016 and 2024, a total of 76,475 Canadians were terminated under the MAiD framework. Based on a conservative, system-reported projected 5% annual baseline increase, the year 2025 will see approximately 17,325 additional MAiD deaths. This brings the cumulative, state-sanctioned toll since its inception to a staggering total of nearly 94,000 citizens.

The demographic tracking data tied to these statistics reveals an incredible reality: approximately 96% of all MAiD recipients nationwide identify ethnically as Caucasian or White. The vast majority of these individuals possessed stable financials, active family structures, and direct access to medical resources.

It is critical to note that the state only began consistently collecting detailed race and ethnicity metrics for MAiD applications in 2023. The inaugural reports confirm this overwhelming majority, noting that while White/Caucasian citizens comprise roughly 95% to 96% of the recipients, Indigenous peoples and other racialized communities represent a miniscule fraction—approximately 3% identifying as being of Asian descent and 1% as Indigenous.

Imagine for a single moment what the mainstream media networks would be broadcasting day and night if these demographic percentages were completely reversed. If any other demographic were being terminated at a rate of nearly 100,000 individuals within a decade, it would be labeled an unprecedented national crisis.

Instead, because it targets the majority population, academia and government committees comfortably dismiss it under the sanitized banner of "white privilege."

A Call to Action

Friends, we are living in a nation that has actively authorized the systematic termination of its own citizens, with an overwhelming, statistical focus on the White population. The original pretense of MAiD—that it would be a highly rare, exceptional measure reserved strictly for competent adults facing imminent, irreversible terminal illness—has been utterly abandoned. It has transformed into an active machine of early exits.

It is time for everyday citizens to stand up, shake off the apathy, and demand a halt. I urge you to pick up the phone today, call your provincial MLAs and your federal MPs, and demand an immediate, unconditional pause on all MAiD interventions across Canada. I am entirely committed to the total abolition of this system, because a civilized society protects life; it does not administer death as a public utility.

Every single human being walking this earth is a sacred image-bearer of God Almighty. Your value, your dignity, and your right to exist are given by the Creator—not granted by a government committee, and certainly not determined by an administrative calculation of your "privilege."
