Bill Vassilopoulos is a survivor. "Following the Fire" is about the life-changing events which rescued him from violence, addiction and attempted suicide. Today he is a devoted husband to Trudy and an attentive father to Anna and Andreas. As a human services professional he advocates strongly for mental health.
Bill works for an organization which champions the cause of supporting people with intellectual disabilities. Additionally, as a Master Trainer for Living Works Education, he equips first responders to intervene and save lives when the threat of suicide is eminent. You can view the social enterprise he has co-founded at www.vitalcorelife.com. Find out how you can become a champion and support the formation of suicide safe communities.
Bill plans on releasing his next book, "Eyes Above the Water" later next year. In this next book he interviews suicide survivors and those bereaved by suicide loss. His real, raw and respectful handling of a difficult subject brings hope and help to suffering families and communities.
